Founded in January 2025 by Head Coach Billy Cowell-McQuillan, Culcheth Eagles Masters Rugby League began with just a handful of players and a couple of rugby balls on a Thursday night. With the organisation and support of Team Manager Mike Maloney, the group quickly grew into a thriving side of nearly 40 registered players and a strong community presence.

Masters Rugby League is the social version of the game for players aged 35+. It focuses on participation, enjoyment, and camaraderie rather than competition — with no league tables or trophies. Coloured shorts indicate contact levels, creating a safe, inclusive, and good-natured environment.

Training takes place every Thursday from 7:00–8:00pm. Whether you’re returning to the game or trying it for the first time, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
