Former Culcheth Eagles player Joe Philbin aged 18 has signed a first team contract for the Wolves,whilst his younger brother Andy,16 has secured a place with the U19 Academy Team.

Joe played for the Eagles in the 2009 season, coached and after many impressive performances was invited into the Warrington scholarship.

During 2011/12 he progressed to Wolves U18 Academy, the following year he progressed again to the U19s Academy team playing in the second row and has now signed a two year full time contract with the Wolves first team.

Meanwhile Andrew who has played for the Eagles since the age of 13 has joined the Wolves U19s Academy following on from his spell in the U16s Academy.

Proud mum Mary said " We would like to thank the coaching staff at Culcheth for their dedication and encouragement they tireless display. They are very much appreciated ".
