CULCHETH EAGLES U17s 46 v BLACKPOOL SCORPIONS U17s 00
In poor weather conditions Culcheth dominated and tamed The Scorpions. Culcheth were excellent in defence putting pressure on Blackpool every time they were in possession forcing them into errors. After some positional changes in the team Culcheths go forward improved and reaped the benefits. MOM Jack Wilshire was superb scoring a hat trick, pushed all the way by Sam Stretch with 2, Adam Coley 1 try and 2 conversion, Andy Rogers 1 and Elliot ‘hop, skip and jump’ Wales 1, Will Dawbarn slotted over 5 conversions. This was a much improved team performance with strong contributions also from Nick Mullins, Ben Hoyles and Jack Savage.
CULCHETH EAGLES U15s 34 v FITTON HILL BULLDOGS U15s 14
In a hastily reversed fixture Eagles played host to Fitton Hill Bulldogs on a day when most sane people would have stayed in bed. From the kick off Eagles came out firing on all cylinders pinning Bulldogs in their own 20 for the first set and once they had ball in hand they caused the visitors defence innumerable problems. Eagles registered 4 quick tries which looked likely to set the tone of the game, but then Bulldogs hit back and scored on half time, the joy of the supporters and players was great to see. After the re start Eagles were caught on the back foot as a drop in concentration led to an error strewn period giving Fitton Hill possession which they were able to capitalize on, a real arm wrestle developed as Culcheth woke up again and registered 2 more scores.
This was a great advert for the youth game between these two developing teams from, players and supporters alike just wish it had been a bit warmer!
Try scorers for Eagles - Miller, Coppin, Emery, Higham. Conversions Coppin & Bradley

CADISHEAD RHINOS U15s 10 v CULCHETH EAGLES U15s 36
Eagles played some of their best rugby this season in a fantastic team performance against local rivals Cadishead Rhinos. Eagles put on the pressure right from the off not allowing Cadishead any ground whilst pressuring in the attack. It wasn’t long before a scoot from dummy half by John Eland opened Eagles score card and Eagles then went from strength to strength although new boys Cadishead did not give up, Eagles experience came through and a hard working defence led by Simon Higham supported by Ben Emery and Jamie Palmer caused Rhinos endless problems.
Each player in black and gold can be proud of themselves today for their contribution to a solid team performance.
Try Scorers - Eland, Higham, Coppin, Emery, McKeever. Convrsions - Coppin & Bradley.

CULCHETH EAGLES U15s 18 v FITTON HILL BULLDOGS U15s 00
In a game with an afternoon kick off Eagles took this as an opportunity to put into practice training field moves as this would be a less pressurised fixture against new boys Fitton Hill who are still finding their feet in this league. It became obvious from the outset that Fitton Hill were going to struggle to contain a very fluid Eagles squad who used the full width of the field to their advantage sending all but one of their players over for a try - SORRY BRADDERZ!! Credit must be given to Fitton Hill for their courage and determination to play and hopefully by the end of this season they will have a full squad and will be able to compete on more equal terms. MOM - Jamie Palmer, COACHES AWARD - Johnny Eland, DEFENCE AWARD - Ben Emery.

CULCHETH EAGLES U17s 26 v SPRING VIEW U17s 10
Culcheth made hard work of shaking off a resolute Spring View outfit. The game was full of good free flowing rugby from both teams, Culcheth’s defence was on top form for most of the game and with a little more patience in attack Culcheth would have scored more tries for their efforts. Try scorers for Culcheth were Adam Heggie(2), Sam Stretch, Jack Wilshire, Elliot Wales and Will Dawbarn and A conversion from Andy Rodgers. Sam Cooper collected both MOM and POW.
SHAW RHINOS U15s 60 v CULCHETH EAGLES U15s 10
Eagles got of to a flying start and opened the scoring, with a well worked try in the corner from Ben Emery, Eagles added to their tally soon after as Alex Braddley pushed over the line with what seem to be the entire Shaw squad hanging on. Although Eagles had many other opportunities to add the points they were never able to capitalise on these as poor decisions took their toll as well as the 3 extra Shaw players. It was in the last ten minutes that Shaw racked up their points as Culcheths defence had run out of steam and had nothing left to give to chase down the one man tries. Eagles can be proud of the effort today with MOM going to Rob Miller who worked relentlessly in defence.

CULCHETH EAGLES U15s 00 v WIDNES ST MARIES U15s 60
Eagles U15s turned up today in body but not in mind and definitely not in spirit. This was a disappointing result for all involved in this squad as the usual enthusiasm and never say die attitude was missing today as the squad were unable to contain a strong Widnes side.
