CULCHETH EAGLES U15s 18 v FITTON HILL BULLDOGS U15s 00

In a game with an afternoon kick off Eagles took this as an opportunity to put into practice training field moves as this would be a less pressurised fixture against new boys Fitton Hill who are still finding their feet in this league. It became obvious from the outset that Fitton Hill were going to struggle to contain a very fluid Eagles squad who used the full width of the field to their advantage sending all but one of their players over for a try - SORRY BRADDERZ!! Credit must be given to Fitton Hill for their courage and determination to play and hopefully by the end of this season they will have a full squad and will be able to compete on more equal terms. MOM - Jamie Palmer, COACHES AWARD - Johnny Eland, DEFENCE AWARD - Ben Emery.

U15s PUT ON A BRAVE SHOW

2nd NOVEMBER 08

CULCHETH EAGLES U17s 26 v SPRING VIEW U17s 10

Culcheth made hard work of shaking off a resolute Spring View outfit. The game was full of good free flowing rugby from both teams, Culcheth’s defence was on top form for most of the game and with a little more patience in attack Culcheth would have scored more tries for their efforts. Try scorers for Culcheth were Adam Heggie(2), Sam Stretch, Jack Wilshire, Elliot Wales and Will Dawbarn and A conversion from Andy Rodgers. Sam Cooper collected both MOM and POW.

SHAW RHINOS U15s 60 v CULCHETH EAGLES U15s 10

Eagles got of to a flying start and opened the scoring, with a well worked try in the corner from Ben Emery, Eagles added to their tally soon after as Alex Braddley pushed over the line with what seem to be the entire Shaw squad hanging on. Although Eagles had many other opportunities to add the points they were never able to capitalise on these as poor decisions took their toll as well as the 3 extra Shaw players. It was in the last ten minutes that Shaw racked up their points as Culcheths defence had run out of steam and had nothing left to give to chase down the one man tries. Eagles can be proud of the effort today with MOM going to Rob Miller who worked relentlessly in defence.

U14s PUT IN GOOD PERFORMANCE

MARCH 2nd 2008

The U14s enjoyed the hospitality of Orrell St James as they took part in a ‘Mini Tournament’ with fellow guests Hindley. Eagles took to the field first against Hindley in what was a real arm wrestle of a match with Hindley coming out on top 12 - 10. Orrell then put in a great effort against Hindley, with the win going again to Hindley. Eagles then faced Orrell and caused the homeside many problems with strong runners who once they had broken the defensive line were uncatchable as Eagles racked up 34 points.

Each and every player from all three teams today put in a great effort in what was a great advert for youth rugby in this developing division.
