A New Name - The Harrow Inn

During the years 1968 and 1969, the Club was known as The Harrow Inn and played in the Wigan Sunday League and entered the Shaw Cup in Leigh reaching the semi-finals.

The teams used to change in the back room of the pub and played it's home matches on the soccer pitch which was situated on the playing fields behind the Co-op Shop. The names of some of the players who turned out in this period were: Tony Lennon, Jimmy Dunkerley, Terry Yates, Alan Musker, Wally Aired, Peter Thompson, Jack Conway, Harry O'Hara, John White and a young Phil Houghton who went on to represent Lancashire at U17's and Lancashire and Great Britain at U19's
